Although I play the Honorable President of Congress, I am alas, merely a humble wife, mom and dental hygienist from New Jersey. I have been involved in community theatre for 40 years and treasure the opportunities to play interesting characters and meet wonderful and talented people! My biggest joy in life is my family (and that includes my 3 dogs!) and every chance we have to be together is gold!!
How familiar were you with 1776 before joining this cast?
I was not very familiar with 1776 before joining the cast. I had seen the movie many years ago and knew many men who were in productions of it but never had the pleasure myself. When Laura asked me to be a part of this production my husband (a big fan) said “you’ve gotta do it”. So here I am.
How much (or little) do you know about your colony/state?
I have spent a fair amount of time in Massachusetts as a tourist – Sturbridge Village, Cape Cod, etc and always found it to be lovely. My daughter is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and those years gave me plenty of opportunity to see its beauty and meet its people. I am a fan!
As your colony’s stance on the question of Independency is well known… let us instead pose another, highly divisive question: Pumpkin Spice- Yea or nay?
Ah, the big debate!! I must admit that I look forward each year to the delicious tastes and smells of autumn and therefore I say yea!
