Polling the Delegates – Part Twelve: Meet Mr. Chase!

“Maryland would welcome Independence if it were given, but is skeptical it can be taken…”

Fortunately, Maryland was not opposed to our Q&A! Meet Mr. Chase!

“Tell us about yourself. We have precious little information…”
I have been involved with the theater for forty six years. I have a BFA from Marywood University, and have served as actor, director, producer, choreographer, and any other capacity you can think of. I have recently retired and am enjoying sharing the stage with my daughter Aubrey (Charles Thompson- our beloved congressional secretary)

How familiar were you with 1776 before joining this cast?
At the tender age of sixteen I joined my first drama workshop, Some of the ladies there were obsessed with 1776 and begged our director to do the show with an all female cast. He politely declined, but that didn’t stop us from raiding the costume shop and attempting to reenact as much of the show that we could remember. from the movie version, (No VCR’s in that day)

How much (or little) do you know about your colony/state?
I lived in Maryland as a small child. I have had the pleasure of vacationing there a few times, and am very partial to the Inner Harbor area.

As your colony’s stance on the question of Independency is well known… let us instead pose another, highly divisive question: Pumpkin Spice- Yea or nay?
Yea to most things pumpkin spice, but nay to pumpkin spice pizza.
