“I cannot live without BOOKS…”

And these books in particular have special significance to yours truly. Come to the show this weekend and look closely at the book stack on Mr. Jefferson’s desk…

… you might just find my little “Easter Egg”:

“In the shoes of giants” man.  😉 (Or, if you prefer something more Hamiltonian… “don’t forget from whence you came!”)

Congressional Move-In Day at Warren Point

My Dear Citizens,

With congress set to reconvene this Friday and Saturday evening, myself, Dr. Franklin, Dr. Bartlett and a handful of the fine parishioners of Warren Point Presbyterian Church spent this afternoon transforming their handsome assembly hall into the Pennsylvania Statehouse.

I daresay, our small yet hearty band did a fine job.

I truly look forward to seeing you all this weekend. (Incidentally, I have been informed that an ample supply of tickets are, indeed, still available for both Friday and Saturday evening. Securing your seats now, however, would be most prudent.)

Well, then… Onward to Congress!

Your Obedient Servant,
T. Jefferson

From the 2018 Rehearsal Hall!

Well, we’re back in rehearsal! And that can only mean one thing…

“The *Second* meeting of the Second Continental Congress…”

… is coming soon.

VERY soon, in fact!

Mark your calendars and join the Women of Congress on Friday, February 2nd and Saturday, February 3rd @ 8pm in Fair Lawn, NJ at the Warren Point Presbyterian Church.

(“Hey, TJ? Got a flier for that?”

… Why, yes, my dear citizen, I do! )

You’ll also note information has been updated throughout the site. This includes our updated cast list with a few new faces joining our Congress!

Much more to come!

Your Obedient,
T. Jefferson

No, your eyes are not deceiving you!

Get excited, 1776- The Women’s Congress fans! We’re gearing up for a remounted production soon!

How soon? Uhm… very… soon?

(I know. Talk about a tease, TJ.)

Sorry I can’t be more specific yet. But, as soon as information has been 100% confirmed- our I’s dotted and our T’s crossed- you’ll see it up on the site and you can reserve those tickets!

I am (your happily returning) Obedient Servant,
T. Jefferson

“Til then, til then…”

Words truly can’t express our thanks to all of you who came out to see the show over the past two nights! Your enthusiasm and support meant THE WORLD to us.

Also, with nearly 200 in attendance over two short nights, we have come to two conclusions!

1) Planned Parenthood will be receiving a TERRIFIC donation.
and
2) … there need to be MORE WOMEN in Congress! (And, perhaps… additional convening of that aforementioned Congress to make that happen…?)

Til then, I am… as I have deeply loved being given the opportunity to portray…

Your Obedient,
T. Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson’s Day Off

With a congressional recess declared tonight ahead of opening tomorrow, a little recreation seemed in order…

“They see me rollin’… they be hatin’…”

I decided to have myself a little, (perhaps entirely too much?) fun putting together some promotional gifs…

And, truly, a congressman can never have himself too many memes…

Oh, Dr. Hall, you kidder, you…

And thus, I shall retire to my bedchamber ahead of tomorrow’s much anticipated… OPENING NIGHT! 🙂

Your Obedient Servant,
T. Jeff
