Polling the Delegates – Part Thirteen: Meet Mr. Livingston!

“So I am going home to celebrate and pop a cork… with all the Livingstons together back in old New York!”

But before leaving, dear Mr. Livingston took a moment to answer the ol’ Q&A!

“Tell us about yourself. We have precious little information…”
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and am the founder and coordinator of the Reflections teen improvisational theatre program of the Bergen County Division of Family Guidance. We do interactive performances on just about any topic you can think of for schools, parent groups, conferences, peer leader groups, youth groups, etc. I am also the director of my own company called Creative Interventions, and we do interactive programming for all different kinds of events. I have a background in psychodrama, sociodrama, Playback Theatre, and group work and love to “think out of the box.” I am an adjunct professor at William Paterson University, teaching social work classes.

How familiar were you with 1776 before joining this cast?
I have seen the show twice before, and had also seen the movie.

How much (or little) do you know about your colony/state?
Well, I was born in the Bronx, and moved to New Jersey when I was two; so my roots are in New York. For college I went to SUNY at Albany and graduate school at Adelphi University… both New York schools. I like going into New York City to see theatre, cabaret shows, take classes, and enjoy the variety that it offers. New Paltz, NY is one of my favorite places.

As your colony’s stance on the question of Independency is well known… let us instead pose another, highly divisive question: Pumpkin Spice- Yea or nay?
I am not sure what all the fuss is about, but I do like Pumpkin Lasagna!
