I have been in community theatre over 17 years. Onstage, back stage, running props. I retired from nursing a year ago and haven’t looked back. Totally immersed in many aspects of theatre, writing, directing, acting and of course running my prop business.
You’re well known in NJ for your work in other areas of theatrical production, (props, acting, etc, etc…). What made you choose 1776 for your debut as a director?
First of all it is a musical that is loved by many. But I have only seen it once. So I wanted to direct something that is not done that often.
Why do 1776 with an all-female cast?
Have you heard these women sing? My God they are glorious. I have worked with or have heard this cast perform before. And I figured and figured correctly that the sound would be wonderful. We are doing this because we can and the end product is something to be heard. And I love being surrounded by talented, wonderful and fun women.
As the question of Independency has already been put to a vote… let us move on to another, highly divisive question: Pumpkin Spice- Yea or nay?
